Visiting the website

When you open the website, the web server processes technically necessary data, such as IP address, time and requested page, so that the page can be delivered and run securely. We do not use this data for analytics or advertising.

The website is hosted on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Under Swiss data protection law, Germany provides adequate protection. Server logs are deleted after 14 days.

Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) sits in front of the server. It forwards requests, protects the website against attacks and delivers it faster; in doing so it processes technically necessary data such as the IP address. Cloudflare is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We do not use Cloudflare cookies for analytics.

No cookies, no tracking

We set no cookies and use no analytics, tracking or advertising services. There are no social media plugins and no embedded content from other providers.

Fonts, images and film

Fonts, images and the film are hosted on our own server. No data is transferred to third parties such as font or video services when you visit.

Language choice

Each language has its own address, for example pwr.ch/en/ for English. When you choose a language, the website opens that address. Nothing is stored in your browser for this.

Contact by email and enquiry form

When you write to us, we process your details to answer your enquiry. We do not pass them on and keep them only as long as the enquiry requires or the law demands.

The enquiry form sends your details from the web server as an email to our inbox. Our email runs on Google Workspace (Google Cloud EMEA Ltd., Ireland); processing may also take place outside Switzerland and the EU, safeguarded by standard contractual clauses. The web server only stores your details briefly if delivery fails, and deletes them after 30 days at the latest. If the server cannot be reached, your email program opens instead with a prepared message.

Your rights

You can ask at any time which of your personal data we process and request its correction or deletion. Just write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
